Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, a Spectra by Comcast Spectacor managed facility located on the campus of Florida State University, has received a distinguished honor from Venues Today. Based upon total gross ticket sales and attendance from April 1, 2015 – March 31, 2016, the Tucker Center ranked 4th within the state of Florida in venues with a capacity of 10,001 – 15,000 according to Venues Today Magazine.

Tailgate at the Tuck, sponsored by WTXL (ABC) and WHTF-FM Hot 104.9, was a great community event that included interactive games, live music provided by the Michael Miller Band, giveaways, various drink specials, and great food from the building’s in house catering and local Food Trucks of the Tallahassee Food Truck Association. Fans brought canned food items to benefit FSU’s Food For Thought pantry, an on campus organization run by the Dean of Students that provides food to the FSU community and student population. The total weight collected was 540 pounds which will greatly benefit the FSU campus community.

Tucker Civic Center (Tucker Civic Center) at Florida State University, along with the university’s athletic department, today announced that the Tucker Civic Center will begin selling tickets through a new ticket company, Paciolan, the leading provider of ticketing, marketing, fundraising and sales automation solutions to more than 500 live entertainment organizations. Paciolan is also the official ticketing partner of Florida State Athletics. Paciolan and Global Spectrum are both subsidiaries of the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor.

Global Spectrum, operators of the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center at Florida State University, today named Ben Weiss as the facility’s new General Manager. Most recently Weiss served as the General Manager of the Memphis Redbirds at Auto Zone Park, a 14,000 seat stadium located in Memphis, TN. With him, Ben brings to the Tucker Civic Center over 13 years’ experience with Global Spectrum.
